These morals help in making love last.вЂќ Second, on the Philosophical side: вЂњLove could be shared and propagated, however, it still entails disciplining oneвЂ™s self. First, on the moral side is вЂњLoving involves sentimentality, loyalty, self- control and responsibility.

From the Moral- Philosophical theory I have extracted the two themes which I combined.Lastly, responsibility was rendered on the last stanza wherein handing over, not just of objects to offspring, but to a greater extent, the values to strengthen love. Idea of self- control was revealed on the third stanza when sublimation and scaling of love was mentioned. Loyalty was depicted on the second stanza confirming that the love she has is for all time. Sentimentality was reflected on the first stanza wherein the persona keeps important objects and memories. I decided on featuring four themes under the morals, these are sentimentality, loyalty, self- control and responsibility.These are Moral- Philosophical theory, Structuralism and Formalism, and Feminism. Three literary lenses were used in the criticism of Bonsai.Sublimation is the channeling of unacceptable impulses, especially sexual desires, toward activities regarded as more socially acceptable, often creative activities.

And we ought to lay down our lives for one another. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. I think of the vastness of such a thing, (and this isnвЂ™t my interpretation of the poem, exactly) the grand and all-encompassing manifestation of GodвЂ™s love, and how the revelation of himself in the person of Christ is the most perfect bonsai, and yet, not: it i s smaller, and at the same time so mind-blowingly real, so wonderful and extraordinary anВ occurrence. The things in a life that stand out so clearly in a flood of images and events, so close and concrete that you can pick them out of the distant time-stream with your fingers. ItвЂ™s about love scaled down, each object and each memory being a concentrated story-pill bursting with meaning. Friday, late afternoon, Sir Neil lecturing (or rather, being a very engrossing half of the conversation the other half comprised of our nods and smiles and adoring stares) and the four year old Likhaan Anthology in my hands flipped to Bonsai by Edith Tiempo. We were talking about the definition of a poem.
